Hi or g’day as we say in Australia. I am Anne, a teacher in a small rural country school, Hawkesdale p12 College. At school, I teach information technology to students from grade 5 to year 12 and accounting to years 11 and 12. In the last few months I have become acqainted with web 2.0 and blogging and it has led me to an exciting and adventurous area which I am now so passionate about. We are researching how we can lay down the e-planks in a web 2.0 classroom this year.![]()
I also live on a farm, located near Hawkesdale, with my husband and my youngest son who now attends the University of Melbourne. Despite a recent drought and the many problems that beset farming, I love our farm and working with the animals. Sheep and cattle fattening is our main staple, althoug I grow flowers and sell them as an interest and a sideline. We also have annoying rabbits and foxes, the odd snake, lots of lizards, sometimes wallabies (or small kangaroos) and when we are lucky an echidna. Possums frequent our orchard and garden at nightime and although they will eat some fruit, they have not annoyed us too much. The little ring tail possums are so cute and sometimes we see their nests up in the trees or even in a bird box!!!
